Flip the Dog 'Prism Effect' Leggings Review - Julie, Red Hot Yoga, Guildford
Well, not sure where the sun has gone, but the day has just got that little bit brighter as we have had the following smile causing review from Julie at Red Hot Yoga in Guildford, Surrey. We are busy planning our new collection and have been seeking views from those whose legs are pretty much never legging-less, so that we can take into account the honest opinions of people who really know their stuff. We have exciting plans for the next few months, so watch this space. In the meantime, this is what Julie had to say about our Prism Effect leggings

"Confession. I have too many pairs of yoga leggings. Other women buy shoes or handbags, I buy yoga leggings. So I consider myself a bit of an aficionado when it comes to all things stretchy. Naturally I was delighted when Flip the Dog got in touch asking me to road-test (mat test?) a pair of their leggings.
I’m a sucker for anything wrapped in tissue paper so I was wildly excited when my pair of Prism Effect leggings came through the post. I love the original graphic yet colourful design of these, the fit is flattering and they are nice and snug around the waist (without being too tight). The fabric is a lovely weight, feels silky against the skin and would see me through all the seasons. The length was good and I was impressed by the eco-credentials – I’d heard of fleeces being made from plastic bottles but never yoga leggings! The carbon footprint is also minimal as they’re designed and made in the UK – a quick root through my leggings collection made me realise just how rare this is!
As I sashayed into Reception in my ‘Prism Effect’ leggings I was immediately complimented on them by my colleague Barbara which was a good start – and it’s nice to be unique in a sea of established brands, no chance of being on my mat next to someone in an identical pair!
To give them a thorough testing I wore them in a Pilates Flow class – I figured a yoga/pilates hybrid would put them through their paces – would they squeak along the mat as I did my Pilates roll up? Would I suffer the humiliation of coming face to face with my granny knickers as I forward folded in front of the mirror?
We twisted, rolled, stretched and down dogged our way through class and, I’m delighted to say, they didn’t disappoint. No embarrassing moments realising they’re actually see through - they wore well and they also washed well, coming out of the machine like new.
Next stop was the Red Hot studio where they coped admirably with wicking away the sweat in 38 degree heat. Would I recommend these to a friend? Yes, as a stylish, planet conscious all rounder they are a good choice".
